About the role 

Sr. Admin – SYSTEMS will be responsible for day to day operational activities.

Incident and Change Management :

Responsible for daily operational activities and L2 incidents and changes for Windows/VMware/hardware of supported customer. Windows patch management and on-call support during non-business hours.

Good hands on Experience in diagnostics & troubleshooting of ESX server environment.

Automate the Manual Operational Tasks using PowerShell Scripting or shell scripting.

Owns or  involved in decision for handover to Operations, and manage priorities. For Vmware he will be  acting as Single Point of Contact from Operations and ensure RACI Matrices , Checklists , Risks and Issues are properly authenticated by required stakeholders.

Working experience on Zerto tool will be preferred Compute Cisco UCS Blade servers DCUCI certified or relevant work experience

Sr. Admin – SYSTEMS is representative of Ops Team in Reverse Shadow Process and then ensures Ops is taking over required responsibilities with proper Sign-offs.

Sr. Admin – SYSTEMS is responsible to ensure Improved Customer Ratings for VMware Technology .

Sr. Admin – SYSTEMS is responsible to present Monthly Performance Reports and Target Enhanced Satisfaction from CPM’s /ITCSM’s in VMware Technology.

Initiates and manages the action plans for VMware Technology , including follow-up of implementation. Sr. Admin – SYSTEMS is responsible to drive P1 Incident Reduction VMware Technology and ensure RCA’s/PIR’s are submitted as Contracted with Customers

Manages the implementation of complex releases in VMware Technology . He is involved in the rollout planning, communication/training, installation and distribution phases of the process related to VMware Technology . Sr. Admin – SYSTEMS is the Single Point of Ops Contact for  the implementation of complex releases for VMware Technology .

Sr. Admin – SYSTEMS is responsible for Identifying Gaps in Upgrades/Releases and Coordinate with Engineering  Team to avoid Risks .

Handles the analysis of the capacity reports for the VMware Technology he is responsible for, and defines the evolutions to be considered, relying on Infrastructure & Engineering teams. 

Sr. Admin – SYSTEMS is responsible to Ensure that for VMware  Technology, Forecasts as per Planned Customer Growth is properly populated and Planned . He has responsibility to adhere to Reduced Incidents in tandem with Capacity Planning.

Update ICOG’s and SOP portal with the latest documents related with Escalated Incidents . Sr. Admin – SYSTEMS is responsible in VMware Technology with respect to Properly updating Knowledge Base Articles  and Procedure Documents .

Sr. Admin – SYSTEMS is responsible to Identify and Raise Issues in Current Environment with respect to Upgrades /New Releases in coordination with other Teams . He is expected to Drive Initiatives to Standardize Technology Environment resulting in Reduced Complex Incidents . Sr. Admin – SYSTEMS is VMware Technology is expected to Arrange Trainings for L2 Teams to bring them upto Speed in resolving Complex Issues in a methodical process

 
About you
 

Education and certifications:

Fulltime BE/BTECH/MCA from a reputed institute

Certification: MCITP, VCP, ITIL-Foundation, Six Sigma, Cloud Certification

Domain Experience:

Good hands on Experience in diagnostics & troubleshooting of ESX server environment.

Experience in Configure and deploying new  Cisco UCS Blades

Experience in installation, configuration, and administration of Vmware/XenServer (Server Virtualization), MS-Windows Server, UCS/Flexpod platform, Storage(EMC/NetApp) and Backup(Avamar/NetBackup) products.

Powershell Scripting Skills

Working experience on Zerto tool will be preferred Compute Cisco UCS Blade servers DCUCI certified or relevant work experience

Cisco UCS Firmware, patching and backups
