Developing P4 compiler technology and Packet Processing Library as the primary job function Designs develops debugs amp tests compiler software and p4 programming language eg Code generation for targets like DPDK packet processor that runs on micro code and FPGAASICs packet processor with limited resources advanced compiler optimizations and features specific to Intel smartNIC Packet processing pipeline Designs develop test documentation and debugs Network packet processing library software May work directly with Hardware and Software architecture team and open source communities developing compilers participate in language development and standard groups Experience of designing HWSW interfaces and APIs Usually holds an academic degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or Computational Science
Qualifications
Qualification BTech with 8+ years /MTech with 6+ Years in Computer Science Engineering Experience in Networking concepts such as Ethernet TCPIP VxLAN Connection tracking QoS etc Experience in C, C API programming Sound knowledge in P4 network language programming In depth knowledge on DPDK framework and its packet processing pipeline Sound knowledge in virtualization technologies at system level and processor level such as Intel VTd In depth knowledge in data structures design patterns and OOAD concepts Experience in one or more of the following areas are highly desired – virtual and physical switches; network and IO virtualization; data plane acceleration; orchestration; containers; microservices; RDMA protocol; NVMe protocol; encryption; and compression.
