Specialist – Systems Data Management

General Purpose of the Job:

The job holder is primary responsible for managing the functionality, development and maintenance of all PSRC IT systems, tools and databases including the SAP-EHS database, GAIA.

These systems are essential for the control of the product safety and regulatory compliance for Huntsman and the global product range.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Responsible for, with other System Team Members, the change management process for assigned PSRC systems in consultation with IT, ensuring that the process supports the vision to maximize the use of standard functionality and content.
• In collaboration with Global Systems & Data Management team members, establishes standards and guidelines for data entry, and procedures and training in support of established standards.
• Responsible along with other team members for functional support of planned system upgrades and changes, including user acceptance testing (UAT).  Project Management experience needed.  Works with other team members for completing UAT and/or manages the testing program for specific projects as appropriate.
• Responsible along with other team members for managing the implementation of updates received from content provider (regulatory data, templates, and rules).
• Responsible for ongoing auditing and validation that data standards are followed.  Project work assigned from the GAIA Operational Excellence Board (GOEB).
• Supports users through training and communication, including for new or changed system functionality.
• Executes standard reports as developed by the Systems Team Advisor and other System Team Members and trains PS/RC associates on their use so they can run them on their own.  This includes CG02 as well as HSIMS.
• Proficiency in Toxicology.  Understand the data on pure sub, how to update pure sub data, complete impact analysis and manage the process from a Systems perspective
• Responsible for managing Report Requests and CVD1 transactions in GAIA.
• Responsible for Vendor SDS application and works with Raw Material PSC Manager
   

Other General responsibilities

• Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
• Assists other employees in accomplishment of Huntsman company goals
• Participates in and completes company required training programs
• Participates in Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company
   

Education and Experience

Bachelor Degree in Science / Engineering with 3-5 years relevant experience

Specific Skills and Knowledge

• At least 3 years in the PSRC domain (SAP-EHS, Regulatory Compliance, General Product Stewardship Support, Hazard Communication, Toxicology, Risk Assessment)
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of EHS systems or databases
• Excellent IT skills. 
• Good communication skills & Fluency in English essential
