Inviting applications for the role of Process Associate- Medical Underwriter
In this role, you will be responsible of Medical Underwriting of individual policies for employee benefit product- short term disability and long-term disability. You will underwrite policies by figuring out risk as per guidelines and standard procedures.
Responsibilities
•    Analyze information in insurance application
•    Summarizing new patient records
•    Figure out risk as per underwriting guidelines and standard procedures
•    Evaluate recommendations from underwriting software
•    Raise a request to obtain mandatory documents and missing information
•    Decide whether to offer coverage
•    Resolve appropriate rating class and corresponding premium
•    Comprehending and responding to customer inquiries. Identify, research, and problem tackle.
•    Ensure that turnaround time and quality of the work meets Company service standards
•    Get along with Onshore /Offshore and customer in an encouraging and professional manner via email and on calls
•    Balance own work in process and support team efforts to ensure that individual, team goals are met.
•    Maintain key records like working files, email for reference and audit purpose
Qualification we seek in you
•    Graduate in medical stream- BHMS, BAMS, BUMS, BPT, BDS, B Pharma, M Pharma
•    Experience in Group/ Individual Disability Insurance /Employee benefit/ Workers Compensation/ Life/ Health and/or LTC
Preferred Skill Set
•    Insurance qualification/certifications will be an added advantage
•    Certified Medical transcriptionist/ Medical coder with relevant experience will be advantage
•    Support team efforts to ensure that individual, team goals are met.
•    Excellent Interpersonal skills
