Job Description
Proven work experience as a Transportation Manager, Logistics/Shipping Manager or similar job profile.
Plan and monitor inbound and outbound deliveries of all modes of transportation i.e. Surface, Sea & Air.
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities.
Research and suggest cost effective logistics methods/solutions.
Select carriers and negotiate contracts and rates.
Research and implement ideal logistics techniques routes.
Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeline targets.
Solid written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English.
Customer service attitude and ability to build relations across departments.
Strong planning skills with the ability to handle multiple task.
Responsible for ensuring that all domestic and export consignments are shipped in a cost-effective and timely manner that conforms to legal and customer requirement.
Should have good SAP knowledge
Candidates having knowledge of Import/Export documentation will be preferred.
Job Specifications:
Education – B.E./Graduate – Commerce/ Economics/ Science/ Arts.
MBA – Logistics or Supply Chain Management will be preferred.
Experience – 8 to 12 years relevant experience in large manufacturing unit.
Skills – Communication and Inter-personal skills at all levels, have strong teamwork and leadership skills, be fully experienced in ERP/SAP and other productivity benefiting tools.
