The Boeing Company is seeking an Senior Manager- India Sales & Marketing to be based at New Delhi, India and reports to the India GSM Exec leader. This position will lead Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) Global Sales & Marketing on a number of important BDS campaigns with near-term focus on the Indian Air Force and Indian Army customers. The position will have responsibility and accountability for leading all phases of acquisition process and customer relationship management.
Role and Responsibilities are mentioned below and are not limited to it:
- The Sales Senior Manager will oversee the creation and capture of Indian Air Force and Army new business campaigns/opportunities to achieve business growth targets, protect current/core business portfolio through unparalleled customer understanding and service.
- Will lead efforts to develop and nurture customer relationships and lead advocacy and customer engagement with BDS, BDI and BGS leaders to assure that we understand customer services requirements, and provide the capabilities needed in current and future services to grow our core and new adjacent businesses.
- The selected individual will lead a sales team in the development of customer relationships, campaign win strategies, marketing and contact plans, and spearhead the company/customer engagement to develop, advance and conclude successful Orders.
- The candidate will utilize in-depth understanding of MOD, DCS and FMS acquisition processes as well as experience working across a breadth of company and customer organizations to effectively develop new business.
- Leverage experience and knowledge of the acquisition process, specifically Indian MOD procurement and decision making as well as US DCS and FMS processes.
- Leverage resources and knowledge of Boeing products, services, processes and operations to support customer commitments, gain competitive advantage and foster business growth.
- Creates, maintains and advances customer relationships to become a trusted business partner with multiple customers.
- Develops in-depth knowledge of customer business, culture, requirements and related topics to shape emerging customer requirements and gain competitive advantage.
- Interfaces with customers and internal Boeing resources to keep all parties apprised of key issues.
- Provides business case analysis and recommendations, develops and obtains authorization to proceed with customer solutions.
- Guide a diverse capture team of professionals who pursue sales and campaign activities by executing strategies and tactics to foster business growth with acceptable terms and margins.
- Effectively manages company relationships and resources in support of campaigns
- Assists in preparing proposals by developing customer insights, themes and discriminators, and by reviewing the statement of work, cost estimates, executive summary and pricing.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and typically 17 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge, understanding and experience with military organisations, particularly Indian Air Force and/or Indian Army.
- The candidate must be highly skilled at leading by influence externally as well as across a range of internal functions such as program management, contracts, finance and engineering. Diverse knowledge in defense products and services as well as military customers will be a very strong asset in this role.
