Develops and manages multiple, complex information technology (IT) initiative project plans and deliverables. Provides input to determine complex project scope, schedule baselines based on an understanding of the system development lifecycle. Negotiates changes to initiatives project baselines.  Manages the incorporation of quality management systems for IT projects. Identifies and negotiates for necessary resources to meet project initiatives, goals. Develops and executes project communication plans. Leads activities to identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.  Helps in accelerating Digital Transformation thru a metrics driven approach.

The Boeing IT&DA Product Systems is currently looking for a senior level Project Manager to join their team in Bangalore, India.  This position will provide operations management in the areas of quality, cloud adoption, devops acceleration, and focus on supporting digital transformation initiatives.  The role would also serve as PMO for all statement of work delivered by a large IT organization supporting engineering and manufacturing business teams within IT&DA Product Systems.

This position provides a tremendous opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to the transformation of Boeing India IT&DA Product Systems to a SAFe, Agile and Product focused enterprise. The project manager will be responsible for periodic status and progress reporting of various tasks, projects and initiatives to various leadership teams. The project manager should be able to handle time-critical tasks assigned as and when required. Excellent collaboration, negotiation and communication skills to ensure the successful completion of tasks and initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

• Leads the assigned initiatives using Project Management Best Practices. Includes developing and executing plans, policies, and procedures from a project management perspective; identification of risks, issues, and opportunities and mitigation. Maintains accountability for maintaining overall operational health, maintaining situational awareness and taking appropriate action to ensure successful execution and completion of the initiatives. Monitors appropriate metrics to ensure performance to plan of the various organizational initiatives.
• Accountable for timely, accurate, periodic status and progress reporting of overall Boeing India Product Systems Engineering, Manufacturing and Emerging Businesses which is very critical.
• Collaborate and work closely with the management team for getting the resources, prioritization for various transformational initiatives.
• Proactively seek out information and data from the management team and other relevant stakeholders for various time critical tasks that might be assigned from time to time.
• Proactively communicates with peers and partners and leadership teams. Keeps others informed by communicating initiatives status, conducting and participating in team meetings, providing presentations and listening to others concerns and suggestions.
• Establish partnerships and engage with internal and external stakeholders, maintain relationships/partnerships with internal/external customers, peers and partners to develop plans, goals and objectives for the initiatives that are consistent with organization strategy and drive the initiatives. The position will be pivotal in creating and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and working closely with those stakeholders in getting the support, data/information for the initiatives and periodic reporting.
• Should be able to work independently, make decisions when needed and execute with minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):          

• 5+ years of experience in leading large-scale cross-functional projects, initiatives including product management, quality and digital transformation
• 5+ years of experience planning and executing digital transformation initiatives and optimization projects
• A demonstrated ability to manage Information Technology initiatives in a complex global environment.
• A demonstrated ability to manage periodic status, progress reporting using various COTS tools
• Strong leadership, partnering, and organizational change skills; Program and Project management best practices and operational discipline
• Agile and Scrum experience

• Experience with IT project management in Aerospace or other manufacturing related industries

Typical Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree or 3 year Diploma with typically 11 to 16 Year’s related work experience or relevant military experience
