Position Summary
Metlife’s Compliance & Tax solution has been implemented and supported globally across 40+ countries.
As a Senior Software Development Engineer you will be supporting these applications that are either EDQ or other vendor related technologies.
You will be responsible for support, deployment and implementation of all Global Compliance & Tax based solutions and initiatives within the Corporate Systems Legal IT Portfolio
Job Responsibilities
- Significant experience working in matrixed environment across global teams.
- Installation, Configuration & Support Oracle EDQ solution on versions 8.0.25, 9.0.8 & 12.1.3
- Work with local IT leads globally, to help them with any issues related the product and configuration.
- Collaborate with the local IT leads and provide them with guidance and support on any requirements as required
- Follow up with regional IT teams to ensure the product is working seamlessly and there is no impact to Business.
- Configuration and deployment of the Product and solution to all countries as required during initial pilot phases.
- Document all procedures and support documents and share with the local regional teams for their reference and guidance
- Coordinate and work closely with other teams and vendors for FTP, SMTP and various other dependencies as required by the Product and application
- Collect monthly reports from all countries and consolidate them on a quarterly basis to share the metrics with business
- Support on IRS reporting for countries through the IDES system
- Engage with QA teams as necessary during new releases and deployments
- Provide guidance and instructions to local IT AD leads to help them in rolling out the deployment release packages for all countries with necessary documentation and work with the local IT team to have the solution deployed and validated.
- Collaborate with security teams to obtain SSL certificates as required and have it setup for all countries to ensure the application/environment is secure.
- Follow up with country IT leads on SSL certificate expiry and have them renewed on time to be compliant.
- Drive and synchronize with various teams as necessary to ensure the product solution and environments are in compliance with security audit requirements and assist in addressing any concerns raised.
- Participate in R&D to improve tech alignment to regulatory compliance, customer operations and/or IT efficiency.
Education
Graduates or Post Graduates preferably B.TECH/MBA
Experience
Minimum 10 years of work experience as Software Development Engineer
Knowledge and skills (general and technical)
- 10 Years plus experience required
- Knowledge of Oracle – Enterprise Data Quality Product Suite
- Knowledge of Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, etc administration
- ITIL Process and change management
- Basic Project management experience required
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience required in File management (SFTP, etc)
- Required experience in Enterprise Server and Application Installations and Web Servers (Tomcat, etc.)
Other Requirements (licenses, certifications, specialized training – if required)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
- Experience managing information management systems and shared service platforms
- Experience in high tech., insurance or other relevant technology or business verticals
- Familiarity with shared service models
- Adept at leading distributed, global teams
