Overall responsibility:

This position will be responsible for Cloud Services Architectures for Automation Solutions Cloud Native Development in support of the Emerson Automation Solutions Cloud-first vision.  This position will require the heart of a teacher, as well as expertise & instruction in Development, Technical Design, Problem Resolution and Communication. There will be development of Automation Solutions Platform level applications, mostly internal group facing for the Team’s productivity advancements.  The work is generally accomplished during IST first shift, but there are occasions when the intended global audience of instruction is outside of normal working hours, so work hours are flexible.

Experience Required:

• 5 + years of experience developing applications with Microsoft IIS, Windows / Azure platform, SQL Server, Web development (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), C# .NET Framework, REST, Web Services, CSOM, JSOM.
• 5 + years of experience with supporting /debugging application solutions, with a strong familiarity with Visual Studio.
• Minimum 1 year experience with cloud-hosted Containers and Container deployment. Experience cross cloud platforms (Azure to AWS) is a plus.
• Minimum 1 year of software Azure DevOps CI/CD development methodologies, development processes, change management, and deployment procedures.
• Minimum 1 year experience with Azure PaaS cloud native development, particularly the Azure Web Application Services and PostGreSQL or Azure SQL Services, enforcing Microsoft Standards & Coding Best Practices.
• Experience with converting On-Premises applications and/or Windows Service to Cloud-Native PaaS application is a plus.

• Effectively interface with customers at all levels (IT and Exec Level Management etc., business users).
• Proven history coordinating with multiple IT groups, setting priorities across a team of external vendors and co-workers to achieve desired outcomes.
• Strong project tasks management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Possess the ability to grasp Business functionality along with technical implementation.
• Ability to facilitate the resolution of production incidents across multiple support groups, Document incidents, resolves or escalates tickets accordingly.
• Develop training material and application documentation as required.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Degree in Computer Science or MCA

Additonal Comments:

Role could require the coverage of rotating shifts
