About the team:
The Territory Planning & Analytics (TP&A) team is at the nexus of Gartner’s mission-critical priorities of rapidly growing the sales force and increasing sales productivity. We partner with corporate and senior sales leaders across the globe to ensure the best return on the company’s substantial annual investment in incremental sales professionals.
Job description:
§ Analyze territory performance to identify areas of focus on and maximize return on investment
§ Identify trends and insights from data while leveraging the right analytical tools and techniques to improve territory enrichment data quality
§ Support typical data transformation within PowerBI or as a staging to PowerBI: joins, normalization, aggregations, derived variable creation using mathematical expressions
§ Influence senior internal stakeholders on prioritizing the right problems and to jointly implement initiatives
§ Enable automation opportunities as required
§ Solve bugs and data quality issues by proactive collaboration with stakeholders and partners (Data warehouse, Finance, HR, etc.) to fix data issues or integrate data into analytics system
§ Integrate large volumes of data and connect discrete data points to enable sales analytics
§ Own process and systems improvement in different stages of data pipeline (account booking, territory assignment, AL, dashboards etc.)
Essential must-have skills:
§ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent
§ 1-4 years’ experience as Business Analyst/Data Analyst/BI Analyst
§ Working knowledge of SQL and Python for data access and basic transformation
§ Experience implementing Reporting, BI, Visualization and Analytics tools such Power BI / Tableau
§ Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize data to design and deliver meaningful solutions
§ Experience with advanced data manipulation and summarization skills using python and Excel Expert skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
§ Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and project management skills
