ROLE SYNOPSIS
Global Business Services (GBS) is BP’s shared services organization. GBS adds value by standardizing and modernizing business activities, whilst maintaining a robust control environment and driving operational excellence. There are five GBS centers globally, situated in Europe, Africa, Asia, America and ANZ and Central Teams across all locations as well as the UK and Houston.
We aim to drive operational excellence and are empowered to lead global change that will standardize and modernize business activities across the entire BP group. To achieve this, we work on process optimization that utilizes next generation technology solutions and process automation tools.
This role will be responsible for building integration routines and migration rules to load and transport data in support of integrity checks and analytical exploitation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Data Sourcing: Identify optimum sourcing & integration strategy ensuring clarity of data requirements
- Data Ingestion: Move and combine data from one or more sources through the creation of sustainable integration routines & methods
- Data Collaboration: Work with other areas of data governance to determine optimum approach for data preparation and associated systemic cleaning
- Data Product Delivery: Deliver data packets which support operational cutover, DQ improvements and analytics-ready data science exploitation
- Project Delivery: Oversees, directs colleagues and participates in delivery of integration activities in a project setting
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:
• A relevant data engineering/integration certification
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience with BI and data analytics databases over 14 years of experience
• Operational and source systems table access and manipulation (e.g. SAP, Oracle)
• Variety of integration methods including ETL, virtualisation, semantic, FTP and SOA (etc.) both in batch and near real time
• Data analysis, profiling & discovery
• Expert level understanding of working with data models
